"Arawak Walton HA is delighted to announce that it has been successful in its third bid to retain its Charter Mark award for excellent customer service. The award is only valid for three years – we first won Charter Mark in 2000 – and must be bid for on a three-year cycle. The expectation is that the assessors will see continuous improvement with each new bid.

Extracts from the feedback document say that our assessor was:

“…. very impressed by the overall provision and management of the service. Various staff confirmed that they feel involved in the service delivery planning process. Service users and partners confirmed that our staff treat everyone fairly and sensitively. The evidence demonstrated that we are very much aware of the views of the community we serve.”

Cym D'Souza, Chief Executive, said "Thanks must go to all the staff who were involved in gathering the evidence to include in the bid and to our tenants and other colleagues who made themselves available on the day to be interviewed by the assessor. It is heartening to know that our “marks” actually improved following the assessment day! Now all we have to do is start thinking about the next three years and how we will continue to improve on our services! "
