Access and information
You can call the office - A trained member of staff will speak to you. You will be given advice and information to assist with your housing needs (including options and alternatives).
You can write to us - all written enquiries will be dealt with in the same way.
If English is not your first language or you need other help, we can assist with interpreters or specialist agencies, as appropriate.
What happens next?
We will send you a housing enquiry form asking for some basic details to see if we can assist you.
How many people would be moving in?
Where do you want to live?
How many bedrooms do you need?
If we cannot help you, we will tell you within 5 working days
Our main aim is to provide housing to those who need it most, matched to their needs in terms of size and type of accommodation
Prioritising enquiries
In deciding whether you can join our housing list, we will take account e.g.
Your current situation, e.g. are you homeless?
Health conditions related to your housing needs
Are you overcrowded?
Harassment suffered of any type
Abuse of any type (physical or mental) suffered
The state of repair of your existing home
Whether your household is currently separated
Are you under occupying your home?
Do you need to live nearer work or schools for children?
Your link to the desired location / area, in terms of friends relatives etc from whom you receive or give support.
Your current housing costs
Age or physical ability if applying for specialist housing.
We also aim to:
Provide you with reasonable and realistic choices where practical.
Give reasonable priority to applications for transfer from existing tenants.
Give clear guidance and information to applicants on their prospects for re-housing by the association, as well as options and alternatives available to you.
