Introduction
Arawak Walton has been providing affordable homes in the heart of Manchester for nearly two decades. It specialises in meeting the complex housing needs of Black and Minority Ethnic communities and is also firmly established as a financially strong and well managed organisation
Arawak Walton was formed in 1994 from the merger of two Black and Minority Ethnic housing associations: Arawak and Walton. Their combined resources provided a sound base on which to build an efficient and effective association centred on the multi-cultural communities of inner city Manchester and Trafford.
One of the keys to Arawak Walton's success is the calibre of its staff team. Professionally qualified and dedicated to their work, they undergo continuous training and development to enhance their knowledge and skills.
The association's culture is one of flexibility and willingness to embrace new initiatives. These have included new build, stock transfers short-life properties, shared ownership, leasehold, rehabilitation and re-improvement.
